You can delete your Babilly account and every entry stored in it at any time — from inside the app, or by asking us if you can no longer sign in.
This is the fastest route and the one we recommend, because it lets you export your history first if you want to keep a copy.
Open Babilly and sign in to the account you want removed.
Go to the Account screen (Profile tab, or Account in the More menu).
Choose Delete Account and confirm the prompt.
You are signed out straight away, and a confirmation of the request is recorded.
Deleting your account cannot be undone. If you only want to clear some history, you can delete individual entries instead and keep your account.
If you cannot sign in, or no longer have the device the app was installed on, email us from the address on the account and we will delete the account and its data for you. Send the request from that address — it is how we confirm the account is yours.
We reply to every request, and confirm once the deletion is complete.
When your account is deleted, the following are permanently removed from our database:
Caregivers you shared a child with lose access as soon as the child is deleted. If you were a caregiver on someone else's child, that child's history belongs to the other parent and is not removed — ask them to remove your access from their sharing settings.
Deletion runs immediately when you confirm it in the app, and within 30 days for a request sent by email. Deleting entries inside the app individually works differently: those are soft-deleted, hidden from your view and kept in the database so a deletion can be reversed and audited.
An audit record of the fact that a deletion happened is kept, as required for compliance. Some anonymised, aggregate statistics may also be retained; they cannot be traced back to you or your child.
Full detail is in our Privacy Policy. To keep a copy of your history before deleting, use Data Export in the app first; it does not need to be deleted with your account.
